The Lone Star football team had no trouble on Friday night, rolling to a 75-0 victory over Denton at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex in Denton.
Lone Star improved to 2-0 entering its game Friday (Sept. 13) at Highland Park. Lone Star is ranked No. 3 in the Dallas Morning News 5A rankings and Highland Park is No. 1.
Lone Star opened its scoring against Denton with a field goal, and then the Rangers scored touchdowns on seven of their next eight drives to take a 52-0 halftime lead.
Lone Star had more than 700 yards of offense and the defense held Denton to only five first downs and 111 yards of total offense.
